Haley Allen DeMarco

Welcome! 

I am an incoming Assistant Professor in the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs at the University of Central Florida. I received my PhD in Political Science from Yale University in May 2026. I was a 2024-2025 Harry Frank Guggenheim Emerging Scholar and a former USIP Peace Scholar Fellow.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Comparative Politics and International Relations. My research centers broadly on strategies of state repression, security reform, and policing in authoritarian and post-authoritarian contexts, with a regional focus on Latin America's Southern Cone. My research relies primarily on qualitative and quantitative archival-based methods.
